- 17th Sat. [SRRC Race] Patricks Point Run. 5K and 10K at 10AM. Start and
finish at Palmer Point in Patricks Point State Park, north of Trinidad.
The club's first running event, this is a beautiful run through the
park. Carpooling for this event is strongly encouraged because there

- 17th Sat. Award, End-of-Year Party. Celebration of running in
the year 2008 at Angelo's Pizza Parlor in Eureka, 2-4PM. Click

- 6th Sat. [SRRC Race] Atalanta's Victory Run and Walk. 2M and 5M at
10:00AM. Start and finish at the Arcata Co-op parking lot. This is a
very festive event promoting women's running. The courses are very flat,
running in the Arcata Bottoms, which makes them quite accessible. For

- 7th Sun. [not SRRC Race] Humboldt Tri-Kids Triathlon. Start at the Arcata
Community pool (instead of the College of the Redwoods). The event will
be the same fun-filled triathlon, kids will swim, bike and run their way
to the finish line on a new and exciting course starting at the Arcata

Prairie 2M / 6.1M. 2M and 6.1M at 10AM. (NO walkers for 6.1M
Please) Start and finish at the north parking lot of the Clam Beach
Frontage Road. 6.1M has scenic views, a tough hill in the first mile,
and a flat-fast last mile. The 2M goes along the Frontage Road. Both are

Hiller Park in McKinleyville. $20 pre-registration at any HealthSPORT or $25 for race day registration. Proceeds go to "Friends of the Eel River" and to fund the expansion of the Hammond trail from Arcata to Eureka. Great finisher? prize!

This year, Marlene Allen at <allens@humboldt1.com> and Sherry Myers at <smyers@wing.com> are organizing a team. Marlene has reserved 2 camp spots at Oak Bottoms camp ground. Boat ride to the starting line and back after the race will be provided. Each team can have up to 4 runners. You can form a team with friends and enjoy the sunshine for the weekend and support the SWEAT running club of Redding.

[not SRRC Race] College of the Redwoods Halftime 5K Run/Walk. 5K starts at halftime of the CR vs. Butte football game and the game starts at 1:00PM. $5 entry includes admission to the football game.
