- 24th Sat. [not SRRC Race] Bridge to Ridge Run. 5K at 11AM in Honeydew, California. Fundraiser event for the Honeydew Elementary School and Independent Study. Race starts from the Honeydew School, across the store. $10 fee, and there will be awards. Registration from 10AM. Post race party with BBQ and dessert for additional fee. - 1st Sat. [not SRRC Race – for women ages 15 & over only] INSPIRE RUN/WALK. 2M & 5M at 9AM in Fortuna, California. Race starts and finishes at the River Lodge. $20 fee for T-shirts, lots of awards, and gala celebration with food. Registration starts at 7:30AM. There is a high school girls team category with a trophy and $300 donation to the high school team (top five runners). of the Giants Marathon. Marathon (at 8AM), half-marathon (at 9AM)

Start and finish at Eureka Natural Foods. The 2-mile turns around at the
Wharfinger Building and the 5-mile turns around at the Boat Ramp.
Entries are at the Jogg’N Shoppe in Arcata and Natural Foods in Eureka.
Proceeds will be used for running shoes for area children.

- 21st Sat. [not SRRC Race] Bridgefest in Bridgeville . At 10:30AM. Start and finish in the center of Bridgeville. It's free for everyone. The race is only 2 miles, but uphill 1 then down 1, so not exactly easy. There is also a 0.6 mile walk and part of it is viewing the Van Duzen River. There is no early registration form -- you just show up that morning, sign up your name and you're ready to go. Relays start and finish at Brandy Creek Marina (Not Beach). Leg 1-Brandy Creek Marina to Dam, 4.0 miles; Leg 2-Dam to weigh station, 5.3 miles; Leg 3-Weigh station to Powerhouse, 4.3 miles; Leg 4-Powerhouse to Brandy Creek marina,6.3 miles. You can form a team with friends and enjoy the sunshine for the weekend and support the SWEAT running club of Redding.

- 9th Sat. [not SRRC Race] CASA Kid Run/Walk. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) speaks for children of our community in court. 5K starts at 10:15AM and 2K starts at 10AM. Funds raised by the CASA Kid Walk give abused children hope! CASA provides training and critical support to volunteer advocates who help abused children find safe, permanent homes. $25 entry with T-shirt.
