Hammond Trail 2M & Half-Marathon

We were blessed with a Humboldt style overcast. There was very little wind. This is the third time we have switched the course from “Hammond Bridge” of the past to the 3-year old “Hammond Trail.” Miles and corners are (hopefully) accurately marked with “cones” thanks to Karen Kelley-Day and friends. You can try out this beautiful course during your training.

 

Big “Thank You’s” to Kami Larripa, Paul & Carla Kraus for timing & recording neatly, to Linn & Josh Tyhurst, Jim Griggs for distributing water & cheer to thirsty runners & bringing back many cones, Myrna Milender for preparing watermelon, to Gary Timek for taking care of recyclables and trash, to Sharon Powers for coming by to cheer, to Dale Bagley for showing up early as usual to help every year, and most of all to all the runners, family and friends who showed up and cheered for the runners. Without your help and support, it wouldn’t have been possible. Big thanks also goes to the first time runners. See you all again next year – we’ll prepare more high quality cookies and H2O melon next year.
