That
pretty much sums it up! What a fantastic morning for a 5K run!
But
seriously, I do want to give a big THANK YOU! to all the businesses who donated
raffle prizes: The Jogg’n Shoppe, Nona Lena’s, Ramone’s Bakery and Café, Natural Selection, Hensel’s Hardware, Life Cycle, Murphy’s Market, Safeway,
Ray’s Food Place… so wonderful, thank you!
This
year we had 207 runners, walkers, strollers and 200 popsicles – so if you
missed out on a Popsicle – you’ll just have to come back next year!!
And
don’t you know our club has the best volunteers ever –

we made $1,785.00 for the Katherine McCaughey Memorial Scholarship Fund!
This
fund was started after the 4th of July race in 1997. It would be Katherine’s
last race – she was killed by a hit and run driver 4 days later in
Sarah
McCaughey (Kat’s mom) had beautiful t-shirts for sale, with proceeds also going
to the memorial fund. There are still a few left; they are for sale at the Jogg’n Shoppe.
