Rodeo Run 5K

        Despite the gloomy weather, spirits were bright and cheery at the 2012 Fortuna Rodeo 5K Race/Walk on Saturday, July 21st. It was a great day for a fun run/walk down Main Street. The City of Fortuna and the Fortuna Police Department provided a safe and enjoyable route for all.

        The event, which is a fundraiser for Six River Running Club’s Relay for Life Team – Athletes for a Cure – was a huge success, bringing in over $4,000 for the American Cancer Society!

        This year we had a special Fortuna Merchant Trophy, which was graciously donated by Ferndale Jewelers – Cindy Daetwiler. As a result, the winning team, Redi-Rents, will have their names engraved on the trophy and will get to keep it until next year’s race!
